THE AUGMENTED REALITY GAME

The interactivity of the game is built around a set of multiple choice questions designed to respond:

  • Visually – by means of augmentations assigned to each answer;
  • Acoustically – by means of sounds assigned to certain answers (optional);
  • Textual – by means of word messages added to a tickertape (optional).

In the game augmentations do not occur randomly. Children are asked to share information. In the game the augmentation is triggered by answers that children give to questions. After each answer (i.e. after each element of shared information), a new layer of visual augmentation occurs. A number of predefined augmentations and sounds are provided in a repository and can be used by teachers to create their own games by designing new questions and assigning meaningful augmentations and possibly sounds.

The questions, answers, augmentations, sounds and tickertape texts are defined in the game CMS. All text entries can be supplied in up to four different languages. English is the default language.
